The Sojourner

Born and raised on the wide-open prairies of Alberta, Canada, I met my husband in Bible college and married him 368 days later.

We packed up our tiny one-bedroom apartment to move to the rain and coffee of the Seattle area.

3 daughters were born in that rainy State; 1 son was born under the open sky of the same Canadian wheat fields I grew up surrounded by.

After 7 years working and living in the inner-city of Yakima with children affected by gang and drug culture, we ended up in a small town in Idaho, and then again back up to the wild prairies of Alberta trying to navigate “normal” life once again.

Sojourning Notes was born out of memorizing Psalm 119 and the years I’ve spent as a sojourner between the country I was born in and the country of my husband as a pilgrim on the way to my Heavenly Home.
